Synthesizing Cowbells & Claves

Cowbells and claves share a simple architecture: two square-wave oscillators at close, non-harmonic intervals passed through a bandpass filter and a VCA with very short decay. The beating between the two frequencies and the filter's resonance create the distinctive metallic "clank" of a cowbell or the sharp "click" of a clave.
