A Final Attempt to Synthesize Guitars

Electric guitars are simpler than acoustic ones: no resonant body, just a magnetic pickup sensing the string vibration at a particular point. The pickup position creates a comb filter effect, while the tone knob acts as a simple lowpass. Together with string gauge (damping), these three controls define the electric guitar sound.
