Part 3

Signals, Modifiers & Controllers

Every synthesizer is built from three types of module: signal generators (oscillators), signal modifiers (filters and amplifiers), and controllers (envelopes, LFOs, keyboards). An LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) is an oscillator too slow to hear. Instead of making sound, it creates rhythmic movement in other controls, like a wobble or pulse. Click any block below to adjust its parameters.
