Synthesizing Drums: The Bass Drum
A bass drum is fundamentally a sine wave with a pitch sweep. The membrane starts at a higher frequency and quickly drops to the fundamental. Add a short noise click for the beater impact and you have the building blocks of everything from 808 kicks to acoustic bass drums.
